India Tourist Visa Reopens for Bangladeshi Citizens from 28 June 2026: New Application Process Explained
After nearly two years, India is reopening Tourist Visa applications for Bangladeshi citizens. According to the latest update, applications will officially begin on 28 June 2026.
The application process has been updated with several new steps that every applicant should understand before applying.
New India Tourist Visa Application Process
Applicants must follow these steps:
- Complete the online visa application form on the official Indian visa website.
- Download the completed application form in PDF format.
- Book an appointment through the IVAC website at least one working day before submitting your documents.
- Upload the visa application PDF daily between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
- Log in again at 6:00 PM to confirm your appointment slot. One rescheduling option may be available if needed.
- After confirming the appointment, pay the IVAC service fee of BDT 1,500 online.
IVAC Centers Accepting Applications
Applicants can submit their documents at the following IVAC centers:
- Dhaka
- Chattogram
- Sylhet
- Rajshahi
- Khulna
Required Documents
Prepare the following documents before applying:
- Passport with at least 6 months validity
- Photocopies of the first four pages of the passport
- All previous passports (if available)
- Recent 2×2 inch color photograph
- National ID card or Birth Certificate
- Latest utility bill
- Occupation-related documents:
- Employee: No Objection Certificate (NOC)
- Student: Student ID
- Business owner: Trade License
- Recent bank statement, international credit card, or proof of at least USD 150 equivalent foreign currency endorsement
Passport Collection
Once the application is processed, applicants will receive an SMS notification. The passport can then be collected from the selected IVAC center.
